Terms of service

Last updated: 14 October 2026

This policy explains how PARADOX-IT handles information when you use prdxit.com. We keep what we collect to a minimum: this site has no accounts and no sign-up, and you do not need to give us anything to browse the catalogue.

Who we are

Paradox-IT N.V., A.L. Waaldijk St 77, Paramaribo Suriname. You can reach us at paradox@leadersgroupnv.com.

We are responsible for the information described in this policy about visitors to this site. Forms on this site can be different — see "Forms on this site" below.

What we collect

  • Basic technical information. When your browser loads this site and its catalogue, our servers receive standard details such as your IP address and browser type, as they would for any website. We use them to deliver the pages and to protect the site from abuse, which includes limiting how many requests one connection can make.
  • Visit statistics. We measure how the site is used with our own analytics, on our own infrastructure. When a page loads it records which page it was, when, the website you came from (its name only, not the page you were on) and which of our web addresses you used. The address of a search results page is recorded without what you searched for. From your IP address it works out which country you are in, and from your IP address and browser details it makes a code that tells one visitor from another for counting. That code is not your IP address and changes every day, so a visit today cannot be connected to a visit tomorrow; the IP address itself is not stored. These statistics are pseudonymous — they are not linked to your name or contact details. The analytics sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and does not follow you to other websites.
  • Messages you send us. If you call, email or message us on WhatsApp, we process what you choose to share so that we can answer you.
  • Not your cart. Items you add to your cart are kept in your own browser. They are not sent to us and we cannot see them, and checking out does not place an order.

Forms on this site

Some pages on this site are forms. A form may be published by us, or by another organization that uses our platform. Whoever publishes a form decides what it asks and what happens to the answers, and is responsible for them — in data protection terms that organization is the controller, and we process your answers on its behalf. It is the one to contact about a form and about your answers to it, including to see, correct or delete them.

When you submit a form, your answers are stored by our system, on our own infrastructure, for the organization that published it. No IP address or browser details are stored with them. Your IP address is used only briefly, in memory, to stop a form being flooded with submissions. Visiting a form counts in our visit statistics like any other page; your answers do not.

If a form offers to email you a copy, you receive one only if you tick "Email me a copy of my answers", which is unticked to begin with. The copy goes to the email address you gave on the form — and, for a form the organization's staff complete afterwards, so does the completed document. Replies to those emails go to an address the organization chooses.

If you cannot tell who published a form, or cannot reach them, write to us and we will pass your request on.

Cookies

This site does not use cookies. Your cart and your place in the catalogue are kept in your browser's own storage, and our analytics is the kind that works without cookies, so there is nothing for a cookie banner to ask you about. Our Cookie Policy lists exactly what is stored.

Why we process it, and on what basis

For this site's own visitors we rely on our legitimate interests, which are:

  • serving you the site and its catalogue, and answering you when you get in touch;
  • keeping the site, the catalogue and the forms working and secure — which includes stopping them being abused, for example by limiting how many requests one connection can make;
  • understanding in general terms how the site is used, through the pseudonymous statistics described above.

Where we rely on legitimate interests you can object, and we explain how below.

For answers to a form, the lawful basis is decided by the organization that published it, and it is responsible for telling you what that basis is. An email copy of your answers is sent only because you asked for one.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, we do not sell it, and we do not share it for advertising.

Sharing

The site, the catalogue, the form system and the analytics all run on our own infrastructure. Answers to a form are made available to the organization that published it. If you ask for an email copy, it is sent to the address you gave, through the email services involved in delivering any email.

If you choose to message us on WhatsApp, your message is also handled by WhatsApp, which is run by Meta as a separate controller under its own terms. Where this site links to our social media pages, those services are separate and handle their own visitors under their own policies.

Apart from that we share your information with nobody, unless the law requires it of us.

Where your information is held

We are based in Suriname and that is where your information is processed, including answers to forms published by organizations elsewhere. Suriname is outside the European Economic Area and is not covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission, which means the Commission has not assessed its data protection rules as equivalent to the EEA's. If you are writing to us or filling in a form from the EEA and would like to know more about that before you send anything, ask us first at the address above.

Keeping information

  • Correspondence with us is kept for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and to meet our record-keeping obligations, and then removed.
  • Answers to a form are kept until the organization that published the form deletes them. No fixed period has been set; the organization can delete your answers when you ask it to.
  • Your IP address, where it is used to limit requests, is held in memory for minutes rather than days, and then discarded.
  • Visit statistics hold no IP address, name or contact details, and are deleted automatically two years after they were recorded.
  • Your cart and your place in the catalogue are kept in your browser, not by us, until you clear them.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you and for a copy of it, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, or ask for it in a form you can take elsewhere. Because we rely on legitimate interests, you can also object to our using it — tell us and we will stop, unless we have compelling grounds not to.

Write to paradox@leadersgroupnv.com and we will respond. For answers you gave on a form, the organization that published it is the one to ask; if you write to us instead, we will pass your request on and help it respond.

If you think your information has been handled badly, please tell us — or, for a form, the organization that published it — first, so that it can be put right. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority — if you are in the EEA, the one for the country where you live or work.

Children

This site is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will see that it is deleted.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Our Cookie Policy lists what this site stores in your browser, and our Terms of Use cover the rest of what applies when you use this site.
